Sturdy and flexible: a digital system to help promote people’s power

By Justin Facey

logística de cadena de suministro

KENSA was set up in a world that was already digital, which is why, from day one, I put my faith in technology. Since we took our first steps, use of technology by our workforce has always been totally natural. For us, it is a resource that allows us to offer a more personalized, quick and efficacious service to the companies choosing us as logistics partners

Since KENSA’s creation, I have considered it fundamental to be able to avail of sound technological support. Thanks to this decision, nowadays, with the sector talking about digitalization and working on a transition towards it, we are already fully immersed in this new reality which offers many advantages for our clients.

See the freight status of the freight and much more

Digitalizing the work of logistics is much more than dispensing with paper; it is moving forward with a format that implies integrating into the same system all the operations underway and sharing the information with all the companies involved in their development.

The effort is important for logistics companies, because it means employing sound systems and exercising great discipline on a daily basis. However, the benefits are enormous for our clients who, thanks to the KENSA system, can:

  • See the location of their goods on a map in real-time
  • View all the operations underway
  • Store foreign trade documents in their private space
  • Confirm their account statements (delivery notes, invoicing, etc.)
  • And even, if they so wish, find out about their carbon footprint and the progress made in their plans for environmental sustainability.

However, we are not only talking about the relationship between the company and the client. The system we use at KENSA enables connectivity with the rest of the players involved, including the shipping companies and customs. In consequence, we gain in efficacy and time.

With all these demands, at KENSA, we wanted to have a particularly strong system while, at the same time, we wanted it to be flexible. The fact of the matter is that today, while we may have planned maritime transport for good, suddenly, we may need to change our plans: air transport may need to be arranged so that our client can solve a problem on the other side of the world. Our computer support must be capable of responding within the shortest possible time.

All the power for people

Obviously, having an efficient management system is a major competitive factor. However, at KENSA, we know that it is not decisive: it’s the people who make the difference.

At a time when a lot of effort is being put into automating the role of logistics services, our company insists on the importance of excellent and committed human resources, people who, in their daily work, are proactive and fight for our client’s interests at customs, in shipping companies and in each of the workspaces. And, above all, people are to go to directly at any time for information, support or advice.
