A major automotive company has entrusted us with some high-value equipment

Recently we were responsible for handling the importation of a Quality Enabling System whose destination was a shipbuilder in Guanajuato (Mexico). This was a very special service due to the considerable value of the cargo, which was moved with absolute precision, within the planned time and without a hitch.

Special dimensions and many documents

The goods arrived by sea to Altamira and our job consisted in controlling, at the port, the cargo consisting of 9 large pieces which, due to their dimensions and special weight, travelled as Break Bulk. In addition to this material were 4 extra pieces which had to be deconsolidated directly at the port as they had travelled together in a 40 HC container. In total, there were 13 pieces included in the same international freight.

The most important thing about the project is that, in order to ensure handling and final delivery without any hitches, it was necessary for the entire operational part of the project to be perfectly covered before the cargo reached the port. What’s more, said cargo was of considerable value as we are talking about a quality review system for a major automotive brand, incorporating the brand’s latest innovations in engineering.

Without a hitch and according to the planned timetable

At KENSA, we are very proud because we have been able to provide our client with something more than just a logistics service. We took the decision to unload directly and do a direct review with terminal in order to confirm the manoeuvres. We were also in direct communication with the customs agent in real time in order to speed up the dispatch of the merchandise. The result was that the cargo was delivered without a hitch in the planned time.
