The value of human connections. People working for people

“KENSA is made up of people who work for people, people who put themselves in the client’s shoes in order to be able to better see to their needs”, says Karla Jiménez, who is in charge of our commercial team. “This is what makes the difference … and determines our relations and our growth”


Though this manner of understanding corporate relations has always been present in KENSA, Karla Jiménez places particular emphasis on it. She recently received a phone call from a former client. It was someone who had changed company to work in a large enterprise where they were given greater responsibility and had to manage a large volume of business. This person required the services of a logistics support company. “They did not contact us for a quote but were rather looking for a good partner they could rely on. They chose us for this project because they knew us and could rely on us while trying to make their business grow”.


A STRONG COMPANY, BUT ONE THAT IS EQUALLY EMPATHETIC


Since KENSA took its first steps, Justin Facey, its founder, was convinced that, apart from a good organisation and solid financial backing, the company needed to have a workforce made up of people who were both demanding and perfectionist. All of this is totally normal. However, it also sought people who were also imaginative and empathetic. Because, as Karla says, “all of us as forwarders work with the same containers and the same ships and the only way to offer differentiated services is with people, their capacity to connect with other people and their commitment”.


At KENSA, each project is assigned an agent who sees to the client immediately and keeps them up to date with any contingency. “This means that our client knows that somebody specific is going to look after their merchandise more attentively than somebody on their own payroll, and that person will always seek out solutions if there is a problem and keep in constant touch. And this is highly important added value”, a value which, as she herself has been able to verify, is not easily forgotten.


AN OPPORTUNITY TO GROW TOGETHER


Yes, experts come and go, but human connections stay. “This is why this person has got back in touch with me–states our Commercial Manager– because they are looking for someone who offers certainty, allowing them to forget about logistics and get on with the work for which they joined the new company to do”.


Jiménez knows that it is not going to be easy because the new client has very strict demands. And their expectations are also high. “The advantage is that we know each other and both parties know that the KENSA team is going to give its all to achieve excellence. Moreover, it is clear that we shall no longer be working like before, because, just as the way of working has evolved, KENSA too evolves to better serve its clients in these new times. We now have this opportunity to grow together”.
