Problems with Ro-Ro transport and Car Carrier? At KENSA, we have the answers for the automotive sector 

The alarm has been sounded: Ro-Ro vessel shipping lines do not have the capacity for all the cargo required by the automotive sector and there is also a lack of Car Carrier for the transport of automobiles by land.

The successive crises experienced by the global automotive sector are being solved with a major transformation at all levels. This is the reason behind the problems mentioned above: the lack of capacity of the Ro-Ro vessels and the lack of Car Carrier on land.

From the Ro-Ro modality to a standardized container 

The automotive industry has traditionally opted for Ro-Ro cargo to transport the already assembled vehicles by sea, availing, for this purpose, of vessels designed for this type of merchandise or mixed cargo. However, the increase in demand has meant that shipping lines have no more availability on ships that support Ro-Ro cargo.  

For over a year now, our solution has been to turn automobile cargo into container cargo. 

At KENSA, we have designed a unique anchoring system with which we have already transported tens of thousands of automobiles. This system allows us to safely place between three and four cars (depending on their size) in a standard container, for their subsequent transport to anywhere in the world in any of the thousands of container ships that sail the oceans every day. 

We had already tested this formula with project cargo (here`s an example). However, we are now offering a standardized, far-reaching proposal that solves the issue for both large OEMs and shipping companies. 

A new fleet of Car Carrier for the road 

To deal with the second problem, which is the lack of Car Carriers for transporting automobiles by road within Mexico, the solution is the obvious one: KENSA has invested in a complete fleet of carriers especially fitted for the transport of automobiles. 

Our company can now cater for deliveries of imported vehicles to the distributor as well as their transport from production plants to the country’s ports for their shipment when dealing with vehicles for export.
